Gastrointestinal Tolerance of an Amino Acid-Based Formula in Children After a Formula Switch: A Retrospective Study (ASPEN Poster 2024)

In this retrospective analysis of USA claims data, patient and clinical characteristics were analyzed in children 1-13 years who initially received a recalled amino acid-based formula (AAF) as their baseline formula, and switched to Alfamino Junior in post-acute care settings (homecare). Switching to Alfamino Junior was effective, with improved gastrointestinal tolerance in 45% of community-based children. This poster was presented at the ASPEN Nutrition Science & Practice Conference in March 2024.
